Each year we take time to pray and discern a new theme for our Every Sacred Sunday Mass Journal. This theme guides our creative decisions in production and also gives our ESS family a unifying way to focus their prayers throughout the liturgical year. We can’t wait to share more about it with you today!
This year the Lord invites us to stand in awe of His majesty and love. Just as the sun’s rays pierce the morning mist to cover the whole world with warmth and light, so too does Christ’s peace have the power to completely fill our hearts.
"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the firmament proclaims the works of his hands.
Day unto day pours forth speech;
night unto night whispers knowledge.
There is no speech, no words;
their voice is not heard;
A report goes forth through all the earth,
their messages, to the ends of the world.
He has pitched in them a tent for the sun;
it comes forth like a bridegroom from his canopy,
and like a hero joyfully runs its course.
From one end of the heavens it comes forth;

We hope that you are able to continually turn back to the greatness of His love for you. If the seemingly monotonous or routine path of the sun was planned by God with such dignity and intentionality, how much more so the daily path of us: the pinnacle of God's creation!
This year, as we reflect on the celestial beauty of God, may we come to know Him more deeply, love Him more fully, and discover anew the peace He has always intended for us.
