3 Ways to Stay Rooted in Prayer During Ordinary Time

ESS+Mass Journal+Open+Prayer

Welcome back to Ordinary Time!

We’re officially back in the long stretch of Ordinary Time, a season set aside by the Church for steady, slow growth and relationship with Jesus. This is the time where we can faithfully learn how to bring prayer into our work, families, rest, hobbies, friendships, and health.

So how do you stay rooted in prayer throughout the year? We asked our friend, Valerie Delgado this question, and this is the advice she gave:

  1. The sacraments! Running to adoration, confession, and Mass as often as I can.

  2. My ESS journal! Journaling what’s on my heart as I read scripture passages of that weekend or jotting down some good points from the homily!

  3. Creating an at-home prayer space. A space that is quiet and beautiful that I can spend time in to read scripture, listen to worship music, or to just sit in silence!

What would you add to this list?
