We’re almost halfway through Lent!
Lent can often feel like a time of great challenge and self-reflection, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the things you think you need to do. But remember, the purpose of this season is to draw closer to God—and even in our weaknesses, His grace is there. If you’re feeling burdened by your Lenten commitments or struggling to stay on track, here are four important reminders to help you stay grounded and focused:
Small sacrifices go a long way // Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to do big, bold sacrifices during Lent. But the Lord isn’t looking for perfection. What He desires most is your heart, and any small step you take toward Him is deeply meaningful. You don’t have to do it all at once; each little act brings you closer to Him.
The Lord speaks in the silence // In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be difficult to hear God’s voice. Lent is a wonderful opportunity to set aside time to sit in quiet prayer or spend a few minutes meditating on Scripture. He is always speaking—sometimes we just need to be still enough to listen.
It’s okay to start again // We’ve all been there—missing a day of fasting, forgetting to pray, or feeling like our Lenten plans have fallen apart. But the beauty of this season is that God’s grace is endless. If you stumble or miss a day, don’t be discouraged. Simply begin again the next day. Lent is not about perfection, but about faithfulness.
You are never alone // Lent can feel isolating, especially when the journey gets tough. But you are never meant to walk this season by yourself. If you’re feeling challenged, reach out to a friend, join a Lenten group at your parish, or ask someone for prayer. You are never alone!
He teaches the humble his way. // Psalm 25:9
These 40 days, the Lord is leading us gently, humbly, and with great love. If we lean on Him, He will guide us through this season and teach us how to walk in His way.
